Prior to COVID-19 detection and social distancing in Tanzania, World Poultry Foundation
consultant Eliwina Mjachakwe was out visiting smallholder farmers and encouraging them to
practice proper sanitation, especially handwashing.

Eliwina utilizes teaching cards to stress the importance of sanitation to prevent disease – in both chickens and humans.
